Dispatches is extremely pleased to announce that the Simon Fraser University Library In Vancouver BC has agreed to host our archive. It couldn’t be a better fit. SFU has a long history of involvement with the poetries associated with the New American Poetry, beginning in 1966 when Robin Blaser began teaching there. Blaser, and Charles Olson Scholar, Ralph Maud, were instrumental in creating a significant collection of NAP associated materials in the library. Other faculty who followed, such as George Bowering, identified with the poets of the NAP and carried that work forward in their own. Dispatches’ roots there are deep as three of our editors — Michael Boughn, Sharon Thesen, and Miriam Nichols — all attended SFU and studied with Blaser. We are deeply grateful to Tony Power, Curator of The Contemporary Literature Collection at the library, for facilitating the arrangement.
